Exotic Adventures, No Planning Needed

BeachTravelers

Volcano trekking in Bali, hand-gliding over Rio de Janeiro in Brazil, 1 on 1 surf coaching and Tortuga Island BBQ snorkeling boat trip in Costa Rica, or riding elephants in Thailand. The hardest part about going on an adventurous, off-the-beaten path trip with Beach Travellers is deciding on which country to go to. Beach Travellers (based in Vancouver) offer trip packages including airfare, accomadations, and activities that are designed to take vacationers far off the typical well-stomped-out routes while taking away the stress of trying to plan it all. I worked closely with the founders of Beach Travellers, TJ Hermiston and Graeme Barker, to come up with some bright, neon posters promoting these adventurous trips on college campuses all over the world. We’re super psyched with the spray-painted, collage-driven solutions that you see above. To check out one of these incredible trips for yourself, go to beachtravellers.com.

The Big Pink

BigPink

The Big Pink, a new up and coming band from the UK, just released their single “Dominos” with their album debuting on September 22nd. And tah-dah, we designed this website for it. My programmer, Don MacKinnon, and I worked with Passionate Marketing, a hip-to music scene agency in NYC. I also had the pleasure of being provided original Surrealist collage art work from Mark Rokusek, from which he let me put this final piece together (the woman’s body and legs were taken from 2 different pieces).

So go to the site, give a listen, and you’ll have a new favorite band. I’m checking them out live in November when they come to San Diego. Anyone want to rock it out with me?

I had the opportunity to work with StreetWise (an interactive design company in LA that focusses on youth culture) on the layout and production for the Ice Age Video Game website that launched this month. Rad. www.iceagegame.com
